Pepe Perpetual Square Dance is a playful generative artwork by Dr. Bill Kolomyjec featuring four couples of Pepe characters performing an endless square dance. The dancers move through a variety of familiar square-dance steps, but the order changes each time. This means the dance is always evolving and no two performances are exactly the same. Even with all this variety, the dancers always find their way back to their original places before the next movement begins. Four couples stand at the corners of a 4x4 grid dance floor, viewed from a fixed caller's view set on stage in front of the band. Once started, the dance continues on its own, creating the feeling of a lively performance that could go on forever.
