Fossils of Consensus is 150 pieces, each a permanent visual record of a single Ethereum block. Every image comes from pure math, not AI. Feed a block's own data into deterministic code (its hash, how full it was, what it cost, how many transactions it carried, how old it is) and the same code produces the same image every time. No model, no prompt, no randomness anyone controls. Anyone can verify any piece by re-rendering its block themselves. 29 pieces mark protocol history: the day proof-of-work ended, the block that split the chain, and a wallet holding hundreds of millions frozen forever by accident. The rest were chosen purely for how they look, from thousands of candidates the chain produced on its own. The chain didn't know it was making art. This collection is proof that it did anyway.
